The Recruitment Process

  • Detailed client briefing. This is preferable face to face, at your offices, via video interview or on the phone.
  • Role and candidate specification discussed and agreed with client.
  • Two-pronged approach. Firstly, select advertising media e.g. Total Jobs/ Library/Indeed/Linked-in, draft and place advertisements, manage response, compile longlist.
  • Also, through market intelligence/networking/connections, identify and approach possible candidates, determine suitability/interest. Add to the longlist.
  • Set up consultant interviews of the longlist, including initial phone discussion, then video interview/face to face depending on location.
  • Complete candidate testing, such as accuracy, literacy. Determine suitability/interest.
  • Present short-list to client.
  • Set up first/second/third client interviews (attend with client if required), handle discounted candidates.
  • Make job offer to best candidate. Assist with any negotiation between client and candidate.
  • Offer accepted, take up two references.
  • Candidate starts, check them in. Invoice client.
  • Check both candidate and client are happy with a follow-up call a few weeks later.


This process can be as long or as short as the client needs. Sometimes candidates are on 1, 3- or 6-months’ notice, or sometimes they are immediately available. We will always discuss the situation with the client and work towards the date they require for the candidate to start in the new role.

Building Client Relationships

We have successfully worked with national and international clients across a wide spectrum of sectors, from placing Risk Managers in France, Austria and the UK within the international insurance market, Insurance Underwriters in the Lloyd’s of London Insurance Market, to placing a Head of Sales for a new Men’s Cosmetics Brand, a .Net Developer for a Credit Insurance Brokers and most recently to a Part-time Financial Controller for a Peanut Butter company.


We even did research and wrote full reports at the request of the client as to the employment law for a UK company hiring a French and Austrian National in their respective countries.


We can say, we have pretty much done it all! We started out as insurance recruitment specialists, then we moved into placing a variety of candidates within the FMCG market place, working very closely indeed with Kiddylicious Limited, that was bought out in 2019 by Lotus Biscuits.  Having placed 75% of their staff over the last 10 years, we are happy to continue the connection with Kiddylicious as their main recruiter.


We have most recently become very involved with a variety of different start-up companies, and as Kristina Lushey is a qualified HR Manager, we have also been able to offer the start-up companies HR advice, as part of the working relationship. If there is a recruitment assignment involved, then the start-up company gets the HR advice for free, and including templates for offer letters, Contracts of Employment, or anything else that may be required.


We are proud of our strong client relationships, and as they will testify, we give an exceptional personal service, being available outside of normal working hours, to deal with any recruitment or HR crises as they arise.
