The company: You will be working for a well-established, family-run business which prides themselves on creating and supplying the highest quality products to retailers, foodservice and specialist outlets throughout the UK.
The role: To coordinate information required for products/projects involving all aspects from innovation through to launch of new products. Accurately update and amend all product information when applicable.
Main duties (but not limited to):
•Technical Standards: Completion of finished product specifications to meet the critical path and/or customer requirements, ensuring completion to right first-time requirements for the retailer.
•Technical Standards: Ensure the raw material details entered on the finished product specifications are the most up to date and applicable for the launch of the product. Tracking any changes to raw material supply and updating finished product specs accordingly.
•NPD: Provide holiday cover for review of finished product artwork to ensure the finished product artwork standards and legal requirements are met and delivered to the agreed critical path. Escalates appropriately internally/externally if discrepancies found.
•Customer Management: To ensure all retailer online systems are reviewed and the housekeeping of site details are kept up to date and accurate.
•Audits: Contribute to customer audits and visits demonstrating the full compliance to the specification’s administration and provide relevant documentation required for audits.
•Quality Systems: Maintain high standard of document control relating to the details required for all finished product specifications, ensuring compliance with 3rd party audit standards.
•Communication: ensure end to end compliance during the specification to Launch process are raised in the appropriate manner to the relevant manager as quickly as possible.
•Health and Safety: To operate in a safe working manner. Support the site/business on continuous improvement relating to health, safety and the environment.
•Customer: to understand customer policies and regulations, and ensure sufficient communication is provided internally with anything relating to the company or any products thereof.
•Have experience as a Specifications Technologist or Specification Writing. The role may also be suitable for a Food Science Graduate interested by a career path in the Food Manufacturing industry.
•Be a confident and articulate communicator.
•Have excellent computer skills.
